Aamir Foda is better known in professional circles as Azam Foda.

Azam’s mission is to contribute commercial expertise and play a leadership role in collaboration with other key business executives to build or grow organizations on sound and ethical financial principles. Azam has had repeated success in building strategic finance functionality commensurate with the needs of rapidly growing organizations.

Azam is currently Director of Finance at Armtec which is engaged in the Infrastructure Industry and quoted on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Armtec has doubled in size in the past one year. Prior to that Azam was the CFO of a medium sized plastics manufacturing company with ~500 employees. Azam started his career in Canada in a software company that grew ten fold during his tenure. Subsequently Azam joined a venture backed software company which he helped sell to a strategic buyer in the Silicon Valley.

Azam comes with strong academic credentials. An MBA from the University of Toronto, Rotman school of business and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in Ontario are additions to his C.A. and BSc. from India. As a Rotman business school alumnus, he has volunteered on the Board to enable full time MBA students complete board presentations. In addition, he has been the Chair of the Mid Western Ontario District of CMA Canada during 2006-2007 and is currently the Vice President of the Hamilton Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI). At the FEI, Azam has helped shaped the strategy of the organization to include Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and initiated a SME day to be observed nationally in Canada during October. Azam has also presented and co-authored academic research papers on the subjects of Decision Support and Penetrating Global Technology Markets.
